- Poway Rodeo Friday, Sept. 23 and 1 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Poway Valley Riders Association grounds, 14336 Tierra Bonita Rd. For ticket prices, go to www.powayrodeo.com. Also, adults 21 and over can enjoy a free dance after the evening rodeo shows at PVRA grounds.
- Saturday, Oct. 1 Poway Music Fest featuring The Max Weinberg Experience is set for an 8 p.m. performance at the Poway Center for Performing Arts, 15498 Espola Road. Tickets are $42 adults; $10 for youths under 18 years of age with the purchase of an adult ticket, available by calling 858-748-0505.
- Saturday, Oct. 2 Tour de Poway returns with various distance rides and staggered start times at Old Poway Park on Midland Road. A barbecue and health expo will also be included. The tour will be conducted in memory of Nick Venuto, an avid biker who died May 31. Go to www.tourdepoway.com for details, including a registration form. Proceeds benefit Poway Kiwanis projects.
